The Chattanooga Hiking Club currently has over 130 household memberships. Membership dues are $20 per year, and include all members in the household. To join, please print our Membership Application, complete and mail the form with a check made payable to the Chattanooga Hiking Club to:

What to expect as a newcomer

You'll contact the hike leader for details about the meeting time and place for a hike; we do not publish that info. And we encourage you to start out with an easy hike unless you've done a good bit of hiking. While we are always happy to welcome you as a newcomer, we also want to make sure that you are capable of doing this particular hike comfortably. Having a bad experience will be unpleasant and possibly even dangerous for you; that's the last thing we want. So be prepared to be questioned by the hike leader about your past hiking experience, especially your recent hiking. We don't mean to discourage you; we just want you to have a good time and come back to hike with us again.
